Ne-Yo,  premiered the song on Late Night with David Letterman on February 1, was approached by Alfani to write and record a song in tribute to healthy relationships to raise awareness for the RESPECT! Campaign.  He was eager to be a part of bringing national attention to this important issue.

In just two days, the RESPECT! Campaign in partnership with Blue Shield of California, collected over 2,000 signatures in support of helping young people build healthy and respectful relationships.

Elizabeth Miller, MD, PhD

Dr. Miller is Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the University of California Davis Children's Hospital, specializing in adolescent health. Her mixed-methods research has included examination of gendered risk for HIV among women in Japan as well as dating violence and health risks among adolescents in the United States. Her projects include an NICHD-funded testing of a partner violence intervention in family planning clinics, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation supported program providing mental health services for gang-involved youth, and the development of a personal health information system for homeless youth. She is also the lead evaluator for the Family Violence Prevention Fund's Coaching Boys into Men training program.

Gail Saltz, MD

Psychiatrist, columnist, bestselling author, and television commentator Gail Saltz, M.D., has been called "a voice of wisdom and insight in a world of confusion and contradictions" by Tom Brokaw. Dr. Saltz is a regular health, sex, and relationship contributor to the Today show for which she hosts the weekly "On the Couch" segment as well as participates as the expert guest in a range of other related discussions. In addition, she writes a weekly "Relationship" column for MSNBC.com, is a regular contributor O, The Oprah magazine, is the emotional wellness expert for ivillage.com and serves as a frequent contributor to CNN. In 2004, Dr. Saltz began hosting a series at the famed 92nd Street Y where she interviews celebrities and extraordinary individuals about psychologically interesting issues. To date, she has spoken with such luminaries as Woody Allen, Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric, Jane Pauley, Gail Sheehy, and Rosie O'Donnell, among others. An Associate Professor of Psychiatry at The New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill-Cornell School of Medicine, Dr. Saltz is a psychoanalyst with The New York Psychoanalytic Institute and has a private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She lives in New York with her husband and three daughters.

Janet E. Taylor, MD, MPH

Dr. Taylor is a former clinical instructor of psychiatry at Columbia University―Harlem Hospital. She is on the frontline battling the emotional and economic impact of mental illness. While living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Taylor practiced community psychiatry at Greater Vancouver Mental Health. During that time, she developed an interest in life coaching and became a certified professional coach through the Coaches Training Institute. That experience led to the formation of her company, Mind Projects, Inc, which specializes in corporate stress management, and performance and health enhancement. As a consumer health strategist, Dr. Taylor consults with major corporations on diversity initiatives, mental health issues, and behavior modification strategies. She is a Family Circle columnist and is a Today Show contributor, speaking on family dynamics, healthy aging, stress management, health disparities and multi-cultural communication.

Jay Silverman, PhD
